I'm a professor of philosophy and classics. I teach Classical American Pragmatism (Charles Peirce), philosophy of religion, and ancient philosophy (Plato). I also think and write about Hobbes, C.S. Lewis, environmental philosophy, philosophy of sport, brook trout. And other stuff, like evolutionary love, philology, things martial and ethical, teaching in Greece and Guatemala, Anglican thought, old books, new bicycles, good tea, rich conversation, and fly-fishing.
